  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Closing Date: Wednesday 4th February 2026

  • About Aspire AP School

Aspire AP School 2 exists to bring hope and a future to children who are struggling in education. We work alongside young people and their families, providing practical support both in and out of school, while reconnecting education with home life.

Aspire is the education arm of Ecclesia International, a Christian charity committed to transforming lives through innovative alternative provision. Our work goes beyond academics, building strong connections between schools, families, churches, and communities.

Nationally, children facing disadvantage are significantly more likely to be excluded from school and experience long-term negative outcomes. Aspire exists to interrupt this cycle and raise aspirations.

    Role Overview

The Deputy Head Teacher will play a key leadership role in establishing, delivering, and growing Aspire AP School 2. This position blends classroom teaching, leadership, safeguarding, and operational responsibility, underpinned by a strong and vibrant Christian faith.

You will lead the Aspire 2 team, oversee high-quality teaching and learning, manage staff and resources, and work closely with the Executive Head Teacher and Governing Body to ensure excellence across all areas of provision.

The role requires flexibility, with core provision running from 8:30am to 2:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Planning, preparation, and wider school responsibilities take place outside of these hours, including meetings, reviews, events, and celebrations.

Applicants must be able to work sensitively with people of all backgrounds while maintaining a strong Christian identity and commitment to equal opportunities.

    Safeguarding & Compliance

Aspire is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references, including one confirming Christian commitment.
